Copycat – DP

It’s very hard not to be a copycat, with so many thoughts out there in the world can we ever be original.

Do we reach the same conclusions from reaching into our own innate intelligence and finding our own answers.  Perhaps the works of others inspire us and trigger our thinking, perhaps we forget where our answers come from.  I learn on my own, through experience,  but also through meaningful conversation, art and literature.  It wasn’t long ago someone told me something I wrote was similar to the poet and philosopher Rumi, I hadn’t intended it to be but when I thought about it, because he is one of my favourite poets it is quite possible that his words run through my veins.  I’m okay with this as I hadn’t intentionally copied him, what I said was similar.  I’m on a journey of self discovery, so I will be looking to what others before me have said.

As I said in a post earlier today, to create something that comes to us naturally, will be as near to perfect as we can get. The best work comes from the heart, runs onto the paper from your veins.   I do hope that I haven’t got that from somewhere else because I would hate to be a copycat 😉

Eerie – DP ;-)

I have an eerie feeling,

a feeling I can’t shake,

a cold draft wraps around me,

one my heart can’t take.

I look into the mirror,

to see who stands behind,

a misty figures lurking there,

or is it of my mind.

It looks as if it’s shrouded,

a hand is reaching near,

trapped here with this awfulness,

although it isn’t clear.

I hold my breath and close my eyes,

a scream is deep inside,

a putrid smell in the air,

it smells like something died.

What happens now is terrifying,

the figures moving nearer.

She’ll get you too, I promise,

when you look into that mirror.

Giant – DP

The giant is quite beautiful,

magnificent to me,

gentle yet splendiferous,

although you cannot see.

The giant is eternal,

having travelled many years,

through challenges and twists,

some of them with tears.

The giant’s had to overcome,

things that held it down,

fear of failure was impossible,

until bravery was found.

The giant got so big through love,

expanding from the heart,

the giant wasn’t always big,

so very tiny at the start.

The giant’s is so very old,

wise and always right,

watch the giant and listen,

don’t put it out of sight.

The giant is invisible,

yet that giant’s so very true,

the giant is your spirit you see,

it rides along with you.

Smoke – DP

We are all taking part in the greatest of plays.  Our reality as we know it is false, developed by the self-conscious created by each of us to mask our connection to the whole.

The self-conscious self, puts boundaries around itself to keep others out, sees itself as one, known by the name Ego.  Mr Ego puts up fences, Ego does not want to share, he lives in a world of conflict, he struggles, he is fearful of being without, he wants respect.  Ego lives in a world of smoke and mirrors.

If we get rid of Ego, knock those fences he has built down, he will see that he is in fact capable of sharing. He will realise that we all come from the same place, it was pointless to try and live separately, he will realise without these boundaries how magnificent he actually is, when Ego becomes aware of conscious he will surrender to the infinite.

The curtains close on the final performance.

Misery is Banned – DP

Any misery today is banned,

I just will not let it in.

I cast it off into the sky,

when I sense it might begin.

Today is for fond memories,

bubbling up and down.

So many very precious,

when I take a look around.

Today the anniversary,

of when you went away.

It rips me up inside,

but I know you couldn’t stay.

Today I’m waiting for a sign,

I’m sure that’s not a sin,

Any misery today is banned,

I will not let it in.

Transformation – DP

I going through a transformation,

but I am not alone.

For everyones included,

unless your made of stone.

The universe is shifting now,

it is moving up in gears.

Taking merely days to change,

what at once took years.

The super moons transforming,

did you see those skies.

Are we ready for the change,

will it mean goodbyes.

Will it mean we all wake up,

will we understand.

Will it feel like we’re living

in a foreign land.

Whatever the transformation,

it’s coming anyway.

Hold nothing really close to you,

it probably won’t stay.

I think we’ll be more spiritual,

connected more to source.

Depends I suppose if we remain

if we stay the course.

Artificial- DP

Not everything of beauty is natural, some things are artificial yet created from a beautiful mind, born from inspiration to grow into something very special.

Great houses and gardens for example, those owned by the National Trust in the United Kingdom

The lakes and gardens of Sheffield Park in West Sussex were designed and created in 1700’s. The garden comes into its own in Autumn, where displays of colours from trees are reflected in the lakes.

Nature in all its glory mixes with the elements here in a landscaped garden. Trees that would not naturally grow in the area, planted around a man made lakes to make a beautiful garden.

Where on Earth

img_2687
Royal Pavillion, Brighton, England

Where are you right now,

while working on your blogs,

are you in bright sunshine,

or is it more like fog.

Resting on a great big yacht,

or in a coffee bar,

waiting in a traffic jam,

sitting in your car.

It’s interesting to think about,

while I write mine here,

I’m guessing on some of you,

others not so clear.

What influence on where you live,

is in your writing now,

is the environment inspiring,

if so please tell me how.

What about the time of day,

it’s lunchtime here for us,

guessing some might be in bed,

or doing other stuff.

I find it quite fascinating,

to think where you might be,

of course in some pictures,

it’s very clear to see.

So tell me in the comments,

let some others know,

we might be nearer than we think,

so lets have a go  😉

Written as a fun response to the daily prompt word – Waiting

It would be good to find out where people are, where my blog is read and where the blogs I read are written.  It’s fascinating to find out what influences us, environment, weather, literature, culture, religion etc.

How wide is my blogging community?
