Nature Lessons 83

When we are able to connect to ourselves, understand our own workings and sometimes imperfections, we are far more able to connect with others.  When we recognise and accept the feelings that are at our very core, allow them to be part of who we are without shame or fear we live in truth.  We naturally relate to others and through understanding and compassion our networks widen, we become authentic.

Vulnerability

I embrace my vulnerability,
it’s so necessary for me.

I’ve a willingness to show myself,
so you can really see.

A person who is fearful,
one who carries shame.

Who understands her feelings,
like those connected to pain.

There’s more to me, there’s love and joy,
these I bring out too.

If you can see my vulnerability,
why not show yours too.

Nature Lessons 81

Does the flower compare itself to others, does the bee only choose the most beautiful.  Does the bird only nest in the most beautiful branch of a tree.  In nature beauty goes much deeper than the surface, beauty is measured in goodness.  Those who let their spirit shine will always attract others.  Beauty after all is in the eye of the beholder, those who can see the depth and goodness in the spirit beneath the surface.

Layers of the Universe

img_3514

There are many layers to this universe,

we only live in one.

The others remain unseen to us,

maybe hidden by our sun.

There are fundamental principles,

dictating what we can see.

I’m wondering if it’s just the same,

for the flowers and the trees.

Do they see the nuances,

the waves between the light.

Do they show their beauty,

to things that are out of sight.

Can they see the others,

that walk between our thoughts.

Can they hear the music,

that bounces as we talk.

Our minds make sure it’s kept away,

trained by us you see.

That’s the subtle difference,

between a human and a tree.

We think too much to ever see,

the beauty that’s around.

There’s far more than we’ll ever know,

between the sky and ground.

An energetic field of light,

dances but yet unseen.

Some might see the flashes,

the purples and the greens.

Close your eyes and look some more,

shut out that blocking mind.

There’s far more in the universe,

but we’re only humankind.

Balance

There are many flowers on earth and many seasons in which to bloom.  As each flower withers and dies another springs into life somewhere else.  To experience both joy and sadness in ones life is to understand balance, the changing of seasons of life, and that each ending brings with it the potential of a new beginning.

Nature Lessons 79

However beautiful, clever or successful you have become retain humility. Remember your journey, know that it was your roots that led you to where you are now, however difficult your journey might have been. Life has a way of reminding us should we forget, nothing is certain. Blossom but not at the expense of others, take time out of the spotlight and let them too have there day.

Development of Mind

I love to read philosophy,

it stimulates my mind.

It’s a shame it’s not that common,

in most of humankind.

I love deep conversation,

learning as we speak.

If I can find a mind out there,

willing to converse with me.

I reach my own conclusions,

I’m helped along the way.

By listening and considering,

the things that others say.

I’m inspired by original thought,

finding something new.

Just tinkering with a new idea,

is just what I like to do.

I make sure of time to think,

as this is how I grow.

So much out there to discover,

so much for me to know.
