Layers of the Universe

img_3514

There are many layers to this universe,

we only live in one.

The others remain unseen to us,

maybe hidden by our sun.

There are fundamental principles,

dictating what we can see.

I’m wondering if it’s just the same,

for the flowers and the trees.

Do they see the nuances,

the waves between the light.

Do they show their beauty,

to things that are out of sight.

Can they see the others,

that walk between our thoughts.

Can they hear the music,

that bounces as we talk.

Our minds make sure it’s kept away,

trained by us you see.

That’s the subtle difference,

between a human and a tree.

We think too much to ever see,

the beauty that’s around.

There’s far more than we’ll ever know,

between the sky and ground.

An energetic field of light,

dances but yet unseen.

Some might see the flashes,

the purples and the greens.

Close your eyes and look some more,

shut out that blocking mind.

There’s far more in the universe,

but we’re only humankind.

  1. It is said that trees have a parallel ecosystem and an elaborate network to communicate. In silence, they send messages and are received by the trees in the vicinity and part of the network. I read an article that there is also a strand of fungi which helps trees communicate just as we do in the internet matrix. The veracity is yet to be fully ascertained. But I believe that winds play an important role too. Pollination is also a type of communication.
A wonderful poem. Liza. Really made me think. I love reading literature which stimulates the mind.

    1. Thank you Amitav, I’m pleased you enjoyed it. I’m sure that other living organisms communicate, they do with us through colour and beauty. There must be more to the whispering wind too, after all it carries energy. I wasn’t aware of the information you shared but will do what I can to look that up. Thanks for your interesting comment it adds more to my poem 🙂
