Just Being

When you feel unconnected, out of sorts, confused and just not with it. Treat yourself to a little nothingness. Imagine yourself just being, become if you can, a flower opening.  Just be in this space for whatever time you have and enjoy those moments of opening, feel yourself expanding out into the world.  As you open each petal, know you have everything you need to move forward, connect and watch the confusion you felt just drop away.

Nature Lessons 167

Hiding behind others, be it people or excuses will never take us far. Standing out in a crowd and speaking our own truth might not be the easiest option but it is far more beneficial to our growth. Leave fear in the dark where fear resides and step out into the daylight. To make sense of our thoughts it is better to speak of them.

Have you Heard?

img_4607

Have you heard the latest,

the worlds turned upside down.

Everybody seems angry,

with their faces covered in frowns.

~

Have you heard about fake news,

you just can’t tell if it’s true.

As if you listen to what your told,

it’s as likely be fake too.

~

Have you heard about listening,

to no one else but yourself.

Coming to you own conclusions,

not hearing anything else.

Where do you go to?

Where do you go to when you sleep,

have you ever seen me?

I travel the universe and back,

it’s in great colour that I see.

Met a good man who woke me up,

I very clearly saw his face.

The sky was gold and a sea of blue,

I’m not sure of the place.

He gently put his hands upon me,

I saw through to his soul.

It was in that very moment of time,

that my heart he stole.

He wrapped it with a ribbon,

before opening it out so wide.

I felt this all throughout me,

as tears of happiness I cried.

~

Where do you go to when you sleep,

have you met him as well.

I’m sure you think him magnificent,

through his eyes you can tell.

Have you heard a voice in your dreams,

gently carrying you through.

I know that he’s from another place,

I wish I could be there too.

But try as I might I cannot get there,

as he always comes to me.

I just wish that he’d come more often,

I think I love him you see.

But I know that he can never be mine,

he’s only helping me along.

Maybe one day I’ll get to that place,

to find that he has just gone.

Healing Power of Nature

Nature, it’s beauty and colours heal the spirit without a doubt, it just takes trust and belief.  I believe if we trust and immerse ourselves in the colours of nature we will feel it’s healing energy.  Just to know that we are connected to nature as we are to all things, allows us to heal from the inside out.

I have spent a good deal of time in nature this year, it has taught me a lot about myself and I have emerged a different person.  The simplicity and depth of nature amazes me, the patterns, the cycles reminds me that all things in life come and go, nothing is forever and everything returns. I can feel the healing power of nature, I believe it and it tells me that all will come well, the I that I think I am is just part of this beautiful landscape, I am connected to all nature, I just have to see that connection and let it become part of who I am.

Symmetry of Nature

The symmetrical patterns we see in nature, tell us that there is a pattern to life, a plan if you like.  We might on occasion feel lost or unsure of the directions we are going in but we are usually heading where we should be, even the wrong way is the right way when it brings us back to the path through the lessons it teaches. It’s really all about harmony and balance in the end, when we learn that we are getting somewhere.

Pets of Preston Manor

On my walk today I went to Preston Manor Garden.  It’s a small garden off of Preston Park and connected to the old manor house.  Along the walls of the garden are the graves of a number of pets, I can only assume from the old manor house.  It’s weird seeing tiny gravestones for animals, but I get that we love our pets and welcome them into our homes so why not I suppose.  Anyway these are really old so I thought I would share with you here as another part of my walk today.

There where quite a few more than this, I can only imagine the family that lived here loved their pets.

A Hint of Spring

There’s something about a spring day, that gives me so much hope.  The last brown leaves on the tree, now crumpled and crisp are falling to the ground and in-between these leaves flowers are beginning to show their heads.  When the sun shines on a day like this it’s as if the universe is telling me that everything will be alright.  I’m hopeful and excited at the moment, new things are around the corner and I’ve a suspicion that everything will work out as it should.

My walk today was lovely, mild weather and little flowers smiling up from the earth, I think I will sleep well tonight.
