Wild Flowers

To save the bee’s, well those they can anyway, the local park has planted a patch of wild flowers. They are quite breathtaking, the bee’s appear to be enjoying them too.

I’m so lucky, living in a heavily populated place such as the South of England, but still having access to nature in towns and cities in parks.

Nature Lessons 351

When we only look at the external we are not really seeing the true being.

Look at the flower, beautiful as it’s bloom may be, it cannot stand without the roots, the love that flows through the stem and leaves that balance.

We are more than just the face, the body around us, we are what runs within, holds us up and everything that has ever happened to us.

A Caper

What a delightful caper it was,

being back together again.

A weekend that was so magical,

though they had forecast rain.

To celebrate your birthday too,

the three of us what a laugh.

A caper when we ordered Pimms,

frozen fruit would never pass.

Moan as we did and talk of reviews,

trip advisor was our threat.

Three cocktails on the house at once,

with giggles they were met.

What a delightful caper it was,

being three young girls again.

Although we’re all over fifty now,

some youthfulness we did regain.

A very funny weekend with my sister and oldest friend visiting to celebrate my friends birthday. We’ve all been friends for so many years that we just fall back into it every time we meet, with this time no exception. We had the kids with us, but to passing strangers it must of been hard to spot the adult, oh how we giggled.

The Pimms episode really was very funny, a real caper!

To Write with a Peacocks Quill

To write a poem with a peacocks quill

do you think it would tell a good tale.

With deepest colours of the universe,

although none of these being pale.

Those green hues of Mother Nature,

bright blues that will heal every ill.

The eye of the feather watching on,

with enough parchment I could fill.

And what about my stories message,

would it resonate with everyone.

Would it be about the birds and bees,

or something much more fun.

Perhaps I’d write of love as I do,

so it jumps up and out so you feel.

There’s something about this plan of mine,

to write now with a peacock quill.

Tides

IMG_6947

Beautiful day here on the South Coast of England yesterday. Here are some shots I took in the evening of the tide coming back in. The water was so warm I walked along paddling in it for miles, so far I didn’t actually know where I was when I climbed from the beach.
