From the Heart
We are multi layered, multi faceted, strange and wonderful beings. Is it any wonder it takes us a lifetime to understand ourselves and the true purpose of our existence.

It’s a bit like clearing spiders webs,
when trying to clear my mind
With random thoughts suspended,
on trails I left behind
Venture through dark passages,
wade murky depths as well
To chase the monsters lurking there,
not a place to dwell
I’m searching for a crystal pool,
it’s so calm and very still
Casting to catch inspiration,
link intention and free will
Paint a picture in the font,
then bring it home with me
Splash it high on skies above,
so that I can’t help but see
My quest to sort my mind out,
might take me many years.
With a range of wild emotions,
glued together with my tears

I came back feeling energised, from my walk today,
I took a step in nature and my cares just flew away.
It never really occurs to me, just how easy it can be,
to rid myself of muddled bits, ones we cannot see.
I started off quite gently, just softly stepping out,
with the beauty of the day, sorting all dilemmas out

Walking through the woodland, I felt I was not alone,
I had the strangest feeling, of walking through a home.
But who would live in forests, deep within these trees,
a cold wind blew right through, it wasn’t make believe.
Oh yes, there’s tales of witches here, that was years ago,
would they still be in these trees, I really didn’t know.
I pulled my coat tight round me, quickened up my pace,
I hadn’t thought a nature walk would turn into a race.
As I left the forests depths, I turned once more around,
and carved into the boulder, a witches face I found.
Now that I am safe and warm, I’m trying hard to see,
What a witch would really want, with silly little me.

Yesterday I went on a nature walk, I wasn’t alone, I was with a friend. It was a beautiful place in Sussex , Lake Wood. We had a lovely afternoon walking around. The place was fabulous, woods, a lake, amazing boulders, stairways, caves and tunnels. We took some great photos which I’m sure I will be posting at some point.
We both said it felt a bit spooky, the tunnels and caves had markings engraved, pentacles and the like but we kept on and enjoyed our walk.
Later that evening on telling a friend we had visited these woods, he told us it was supposed to be haunted by a witch who would chase you out of the woods, we laughed and joked we were lucky to have escaped.
Now is it my very far fetched imagination, or can you also see a woman running towards me on the rock in the photos!

Life pushes us in unexpected directions by placing obstacles in our paths. We have the choice to resign ourselves to not getting any further or find an alternative route to reach our destination. The barriers we find on our journey are sent purely to open our minds and show us different pathways.

None of us get through this life on our own. We are born into a family, make friends and travel through our years here with those we love. Some come, some go but we should never forget or underestimate the support and love of those souls that walk the path with us.
