As each fruit ripens, the branch lets go. As each fruit falls away it makes room for another. Such is the cycle of life, an eternal fruit tree, nourishing, growing and setting free.

To the Sea

Oh, to sail and wander the seas

by sailing boat or steam.

Just sailing along on the water,

my life would be a dream.

To bathe with all the sea creatures,

take showers in the rain.

While living the life of a sailor,

going out to sea again.

So pipe me out of the harbours,

send me up to the nest.

Give me a compass in my hand,

as the sea presents its test.

Spotting new land on a horizon,

seeing cliffs as they loom.

Putting a message in my bottle,

right under a silvery moon.

Reaching out from the heart isn’t at all difficult, we naturally feel from within our hearts, we just need to reach the realisation we can touch too.

I was recently in Santa Eulalia del Rio, Ibiza for a few days staying with a friend. I thought the island quite beautiful and being a sun worshipper as I am enjoyed every moment. Oh that’s apart from getting lost on the mountain, but at least it taught me a lesson.

Ibiza’s not all foam parties and clubbing, there is another vibe to the island too, it has a spiritual feel to it, especially the mountains. Ibiza is full of spiritual and yoga retreats and it’s amazing just how many organic and health foods are available in comparison with mainland Spain.

I kept looking at the word Ibiza and thinking it went quite well with Liza, I’ve toyed with the idea of going over for a longer period, I like the idea of island life but wonder if I’d miss the culture of being close to a city. I’m still pondering on the idea, I think I might just do it at some point!

I thought I’d share a few photos with you so you can get a feel for it too.

Reflections from the Pier

A moody day in Worthing just before the sun came out. I love to stroll along the beach when it’s quiet and the tides out. At low tide you can walk right under the pier, the sea goes out so far I’m wondering if sometimes you can just walk around it.
