From the Heart
Does the flower compare itself to others, does the bee only choose the most beautiful. Does the bird only nest in the most beautiful branch of a tree. In nature beauty goes much deeper than the surface, beauty is measured in goodness. Those who let their spirit shine will always attract others. Beauty after all is in the eye of the beholder, those who can see the depth and goodness in the spirit beneath the surface.

Is love not just the blending of souls and recognition that we are all the same. To love is to ultimately connect to yourself, as we only truly see ourselves through the eyes of those we love.

However beautiful, clever or successful you have become retain humility. Remember your journey, know that it was your roots that led you to where you are now, however difficult your journey might have been. Life has a way of reminding us should we forget, nothing is certain. Blossom but not at the expense of others, take time out of the spotlight and let them too have there day.

A rose does not just become a thing of beauty and joy. To reach this point the rose has pushed its way up from the depths of earth, battled the elements and fought for survival. When a rose opens and blooms it is because it has reached its final destination having travelled to get there. When you see that beautiful rose, or in fact any flower, let it be a reminder of your own path, life is full of pathways that lead us to openings.

At the end of our days what matters most is that we opened ourselves up to experience, we trod boldly through the fields of life and met the challenges head on. We didn’t give up, we overcame and learnt from each experience. If the world is a better place for having you in it, if you gave yourself fully despite the challenges, you made it, and in doing so made the world a better place. The flower that does not open will always remain a bud, for they have to flower to become and to know themselves.

A flower does not stop opening because of a storm, a tree continues to hold out its branches, even though for both of these, petals are damaged and leaves often blown away. Life can be a series of storms, it’s how we face them that matters. Change is natural and there is little we can do about it, challenges come and go, this is nature and all part of being alive. Live to the full each day whatever life presents, just as storms will blow over all things will pass.

We are all at different stages of growth, age is certainly a consideration, but so are our experiences as we travel through life. Some of us will face many challenges, that will, if we learn the lessons from them, enhance our growth and development. Others, who may appear to have an easy life, might be much farther behind because they have not shared those same experiences. We cannot judge others by what they know or don’t know because we all receive individual lessons connected to our own journey, each of our spirits grows at the pace as it should.

The flower is not concerned by what others think of it or affected by criticism. The flower does not grow to please others nor does the flower emulate others in the garden. The flower grows in its own beautiful way, the flower remains true to the self and connected to source.

Does the flower know where it is heading when it reaches up to the sky, does it know its purpose and destination. If nature can tell us anything I think it might be reach for your dreams, be open to experience and give your very best.
