From the Heart
Avoiding you is easier, as my eyes avert your gaze.
Sidestepping the emotions, that only time will fade.
Missing precious moments, as I cast them from my mind.
Escaping memories of you, of smiles so hard to find.
Cheating pain and suffering, I’ve stored it deep within.
It’s easier to evade the hurt, until new life begins.

It was a mistake to let you walk away without telling you I cared.
But your loving declaration found me somewhat unprepared.
I laughed at what you shared with me, not believing it was true.
You must have thought me very cruel to make a fool of you.
I’m feeling so much sadness now, you have a new love so real.
I’ve learnt the hard way sure enough, I hope my heart will heal.
I’ve learnt a lot today and I’ve only been up about an hour.
Learnt from reading your blogs, wow, what amazing power.
Isn’t it just fabulous, that I learn from what you say.
Like on photography, in taking shots, the very best of ways.
And commenting, how I should, to show an author I care.
Via posts, on how, to carefully put my words out there.
On love and life, on success and on every other topic.
Finding messages in your posts however microscopic.
My agenda, to read some more, while I drink my coffee.
I’ve dived into the blogging world, so what on earth can stop me.

The eyes are the windows of the soul,
so dive right in and see.
What lies behind the mask I wear,
come find the real true me.
The colour changes with my mood,
so come at the right time.
Green and blue and sometimes grey,
communicate my signs.
When lids are closed do not disturb,
it really wouldn’t be wise.
As I am dreaming and travelling far,
and watching with closed eyes.

I’ve been looking after my friends cat and does he like a fuss. No chance of getting anything done when he’s about! There’s cat hair everywhere, clothes, laptop keyboard and up my nose. He’s adorable I grant you, but I can’t lavish him with love every moment of the day. I love him dearly but I’m so glad my friend came back today so life can resume as it should!
The sun went down and I was scared, with darkness all around.
The moon popped up to comfort me, bright and full and round.
Don’t fear my love he said to me, I’ll see you through the night.
With gentle glow and smiling face, I knew that I’d be alright.
Angel feasting on the flower, tell me what it is like.
That you transformed from a tiny beast, simply overnight.
Did you know your time had come, did you other angels see.
Your transformation indicates, that this could occur to me.
Do you fly in other realms, where celestial beings roam.
Tell me when you changed your form did you go back home.
Colorful angel stop a while, to help me understand.
Are the flowers any sweeter, when you reach the other land.
Mirrored beneath the surface of the days bright glow
A reflection of truth and honesty where we seldom go
Within our own nakedness we realise our true being
A place we go in silence and understand the meaning
Reflecting on my yesterday’s, I look deep into the depths
Of what was clear and simple, to the troubled murkiness
Pondering on happenings and wondering if I was right.
I don’t stay to long, just long enough to understand my plight
The past is best left where it is but I take the lessons on
So I can understand myself when I might take another step wrong
The shadows and reflection can distort what was the truth
I dive deep to find the feeling that are buried from my youth
Just maybe once in a while, you’d turn up when you should.
Just maybe if you obliged, the day would turn out good.
I’m not feeling half as bright, with you up in the clouds.
I don’t know why you hide away, you used to be so proud.
I’m feeling very chilly now, my arms are white and fat.
It’s so long since I’ve seen you sun and needed my sun hat!
