From the Heart
I see a hand that’s withered,
frail and getting old.
Clinging onto memories,
some stories left untold.
The table that you sit on,
an ancestor for sure.
Down into the forest,
there’ll be many more.
Once you waved from branches,
now crumbling away.
A topic of the artists mind,
in his art you’ll stay.

After the rain the sun comes out
and everything looks brighter.
After the storm we’ll take a rest,
we don’t need to be fighters.
The sun will brighten up our day,
things a little more possible.
Now we see the bridge is in sight,
and understand it’s crossable.
The winds are not so feisty now,
In fact I’d call them calm.
Now’s the time to take a walk,
please let me hold your arm.

An extra nature lesson today at the request of a blogging friend 🙂
Does the flower open itself up to the universe, or is each flowers opening a communication from the universe. Think about what the opening flower is sending out into the world, wonderful colours, aroma and a vision to behold. As we open up ourselves, at whatever point we are, we act as a channel for universal love. Each opening is a gateway and opportunity for giving and receiving.

The tree stands firm with its roots securely attached to the earth. It reaches up with all its branches to the stars, even those branches that bend gently towards the earth, started their journey facing the sky. Blossoms fly from branches painting the world, fruits provide goodness and leaves fall like love and kindness to nourish the earth. The tree throughout its life, continues to reach for the stars. The pattern of the bark and circles within the trunk surly tell us something, but for now I think we should just spread ourselves widely and reach for the stars.

What greater treasure is there than the simplicity and beauty of nature. When we step out into nature, connect and become one with nature we have all the treasure in the world. When we focus on nature, watch the patterns, see the colours and hear the messages it teaches the natural simplicity of life. That we will continue to grow, develop, mature and know that our death will always lead to new beginnings.

Daily Prompt – Treasure
Once the seed of love is sown it grows into something quite magnificent. When we send out love into the world in our actions and thoughts, we are like gardeners. With each seed we sow love flourishes. The garden of love takes but a few seeds and a little care and attention along the way.

Each loving or kind thought that touches the heart, opens the heart, just as misery and sadness close the heart. Even when going through more difficult times, feed the heart with loving thoughts, even if these are only the kindness and love you owe to yourself. Treated with love and kindness the heart will remain open.
