Symmetry of Nature

The symmetrical patterns we see in nature, tell us that there is a pattern to life, a plan if you like.  We might on occasion feel lost or unsure of the directions we are going in but we are usually heading where we should be, even the wrong way is the right way when it brings us back to the path through the lessons it teaches. It’s really all about harmony and balance in the end, when we learn that we are getting somewhere.

Pets of Preston Manor

On my walk today I went to Preston Manor Garden.  It’s a small garden off of Preston Park and connected to the old manor house.  Along the walls of the garden are the graves of a number of pets, I can only assume from the old manor house.  It’s weird seeing tiny gravestones for animals, but I get that we love our pets and welcome them into our homes so why not I suppose.  Anyway these are really old so I thought I would share with you here as another part of my walk today.

There where quite a few more than this, I can only imagine the family that lived here loved their pets.

A Hint of Spring

There’s something about a spring day, that gives me so much hope.  The last brown leaves on the tree, now crumpled and crisp are falling to the ground and in-between these leaves flowers are beginning to show their heads.  When the sun shines on a day like this it’s as if the universe is telling me that everything will be alright.  I’m hopeful and excited at the moment, new things are around the corner and I’ve a suspicion that everything will work out as it should.

My walk today was lovely, mild weather and little flowers smiling up from the earth, I think I will sleep well tonight.

Poppy

Poppy has the builders at home so came to hang out with me.  She was all of a tremble when she arrived as the last time she saw me I swooped in to her place for my friend, to drop her at the vets, anyway she’s okay now, calmed down a little bit.

I’m not sure she was expecting the cat in the mirror. She’s been walking up and down like a lioness watching that other cats every move 😊

Daily Prompt – Tremble

Becoming One

Meditate and become one with nature, bloom like a flower, spread out like a tree, want for nothing that is not already here.  You will then become at one with all things, the flowers, the trees, the skies and rivers.  Connected to this eternal life source you can experience the essence just being, travel anywhere and be part of everything.

Nature Lessons 165

Take each event in life as if it is the start of a new dance, know that the music will play through to the end and dance with all your heart and soul. Dance in the sunshine, sway gently in the breeze and dance through the wind and rain.  Enjoy each dance in the ball as at some point the time will come for the last dance.

I Am

I am the sum total

of all I’ve experienced in life,

present in this moment

through happiness and strife.

Moulded by adversity

and shaped through tender care,

If these things had not occurred,

I could be anywhere.

I travel in this vehicle

it has veered along the road,

I’m so very strong and balanced,

I carry a heavy load.

I ensure that it is packed well,

no need to stack it high,

I let it go quite often,

in-between stages I pass by.

I am the sum total

of all I’ve experienced to date,

I’m collecting as I move along,

before it gets too late.

Lovingly

Lovingly you looked at me,

as you walked out of the door.

Eyes so soft and soothing,

I’ll remember them for sure.

Lovingly you said farewell,

and you blew me one last kiss.

I thought you’d be returning,

at least that was my wish.

Lovingly I think of you now,

your never far from my mind.

A love so true and honest,

would be impossible to find.

I have your picture hanging,

on the wall just near the door.

Your loving eyes still watch me,

and they shall forevermore.

The Daily Prompt – Lovingly

Tides of Change

If we compare the challenges we face in life to the ocean, we’ll begin to understand that whatever is happening, the tides will change.  That boat that gets blown about in the gale will enjoy the calmness of a summer day, the gull that can’t land because of the swell will sleep on the ocean in months to come and those waters will always turn warm again.  The storms are needed to wash away the rubbish from the shore in preparation for another summer and the sound, smell and taste of the ocean will sooth us once again.
