I believe in letting go of the junk that weighs us down in life. In order to grow we need to be able to rid ourselves of what no longer serves a purpose, binds us and prevents us from moving forward. We need to be light enough to fly and catch hold of opportunities when they arise. It’s not complicated, a bird couldn’t fly weighed down with it’s home and all the worries in the world.
To often we live in fear of moving forward, there are to many reasons why we can’t, too many things we have to do first, too many excuses. We often lack self belief and imagine ourselves to be unable to forge ahead with our dreams. We settle for what we know what appears safe without belief that we could get anywhere other than where we are at the present time. I spent a long time travelling to work each day to a well paid job I was unhappy in, realising the unhappy faces I saw each day on the train were doing the same thing, we were all just dying slowly in an existence in which we were eternally trapped. So I quit, it’s not been easy but I’ve never been happier and I have grown so much as a person because I broke out of the mould. I’m not advocating that you should quit your jobs, that could be disastrous but it worked for me. I’m a different person and it has allowed me to grow in a way I never would have imagined. I have grown in spirit, I’m kinder and more loving to myself and others and the universe has provided. Okay it gets a little scary sometimes but something works out and I’ve discovered paths I never would have imagined.
Dreams should be lived or at least followed and I think the first step is lightening the load, working out what our dreams are and then doing something, however small, to move closer to who and what we want to be.
Life isn’t meant to be complicated 🙂

Reach out my love and own sky,
these moments they will not last.
The hand of time you’ll not defy
for the hour will come to pass.
~
Posture perfect with head held high,
as an individual of your kind.
With musky perfume lingering still,
you leave an essence behind.
~
Deep love inside will not decay,
with a passion so clear to all.
Take this moment and rejoice in life,
before the petals begin to fall.

I see you hiding
Lovely little Ladybug
Veil on flower face

I’m trying to reach you, but you’re no longer here.
I’m yearning to touch you, I can feel you are near.
I keep calling your name, but you stay out of sight.
First thing in the morning and last thing at night.
Please send inspiration, to enlighten and show.
Your energy is still present, was just time to go.

In response to the daily word prompt – Reach

I’m a little obsessed with death, you might have noticed. When I first started my blog it was when my mum was dying, I wrote short stories and everybody died. I’d start writing maybe thinking of a happy ending and then oops another death.
Now I still write about death in different ways, I explore what it means. I’m a very happy and content girl, I just think about death a bit. It’s okay, don’t unfollow please, because death to me means new beginnings. I write of flowers wilting to come back again in the spring, suns gloriously setting and rising again and caterpillars transforming into beautiful butterflies. I believe there is more to life than the physical life we have here and think that we just move on somewhere and continue. I reads lots on near death experiences, as I said I’m obsessed!
Whatever death is I think it should be special, I think the dying should have the best possible care and be allowed to go when they are ready with their loved ones around them. It’s only a transition but we won’t see them for a while and thats difficult to manage for all of us.
Goodbyes are so important, as is giving permission. I conducted a funeral last week, I’m not a trained celebrant and it was strange how it came about but the family wanted it conducted with love and that’s what happened. It was a privilege for me to do this for someone, I mean it’s the last thing you can do.
Funny where life leads you and how!

Where do you sit in the power
When do you go deep within
Is there a certain secret hour
Have you met your spirit kin
Do you practice by meditation
Is that the gateway to the soul
What about in each situation
Does it help you to feel whole
Angel feasting on the flower, tell me what it is like.
That you transformed from a tiny beast, simply overnight.
Did you know your time had come, did you other angels see.
Your transformation indicates, that this could occur to me.
Do you fly in other realms, where celestial beings roam.
Tell me when you changed your form did you go back home.
Colorful angel stop a while, to help me understand.
Are the flowers any sweeter, when you reach the other land.

Mirrored beneath the surface of the days bright glow
A reflection of truth and honesty where we seldom go
Within our own nakedness we realise our true being
A place we go in silence and understand the meaning
