From the Heart
So you think you understand me,
and you know what makes me tick.
Well I’d say that you are very wrong,
with assumptions far too quick.
Yes, I am an inspiration,
while muddled and confused.
I really haven’t worked it out,
to say I have would be a ruse.
Understanding me, you see,
I’ve been trying for so long.
To think you have it sussed in days,
is clearly very wrong.
So put away the ideas you have,
and start again with me.
I’m deeper than you think you know,
and more than you can see.
I’m not sure about that voyage now, the pound has sunk too low
The vote has caused this drift you see, the treats might have to go
It’s really very frightening, tomorrow will be brand new
Batten down those hatches, we will have to see this through
We need to steer the ship of us, into waters that are unclear
Paddle carefully, take our time and put away our fear
Girona city is one of my special places. Just up from Barcelona, a very special Catalan city. From the magnificent cathedral to the cobblestone streets.
I love this part of Spain, it’s my spiritual home and luckily I have family here so I can visit as often as I like.
I get off the plane at Girona airport and there is a smell that tells me I’m home. Somewhere between pig farms and the manure on the fields there is a smell that speaks to me. It talks of family and food, sun and lazy walks in nature. I can find a stillness here that is difficult to find anywhere else.
I’m presently in Spain for a family wedding so when the city prompt came up today I knew it called for my love affair with Girona, we were meant to be.

It isn’t any wonder, that I listen with contempt
I never really have much time for those who will pretend
I see right through the fairy tales, I know that they are lies
Just tell it straight, don’t hold it back, its fibs that I despise
How ever hard the words appear just say them as they are
Open, frank and honest please and we’ll go very far
With open eyes I see the beauty in the world and with eyes wide open I dance in, and add to that beauty.
With open ears I listen to the universe and add my own truth as to be in tune with its symphony.
With open mind I accept and consider the opinions of others and contemplate first in silence my response.
With open hands I reach out to those in need and accept and welcome the assistance of the hands of others.
With open heart I give love willingly and with that same open heart accept the love that is offered to me.
I remain open to what the universe has in store for me and open to how I can be of service each day.
Imagine yourself by this lake or any lake. Everything around is still, just the whisper of life settling for the night.
Breath deeply and then let you breath settle into its natural flow. Feel your connection to nature, be your natural self.
Sometimes she woke understanding.
She understood all there ever was and all there ever would be. It was a mathematical equation, words beyond words and simplicity itself. For that moment on waking she understood all that there was and then in the next moment it was gone.

I don’t really like my feet much, but they go from A to B
My hair is lank and frizzes, but it’s still on top you see
Then the in-between bits, from head to toe I go
With flabby tum, too small bum and bunions on my toes
I’ve prayed it could be better, in any little way
But I’m healthy and it’s working and I’m standing here today
Life in it’s simplicity, has taken care of me.
So I’m really truly grateful to be just simply me.
