If I could take you to your future,
would you want to go.
Would you walk the path with me,
to see what it would show
Could you find that dream in you
and take us both to see.
Could we step into that land,
what will you show to me.
If I could help you paint it,
would you use the brush.
Would you paint the scenery,
clear without any fuss.
Can you tell me how it sounds,
can you hear the tune.
Listen very carefully,
you’ll hear the music soon.
If you could introduce me,
to the people up ahead.
Would you hear their laughter,
can you tell me what was said
The futures but a step away,
you’ll see it’s outline soon.
Prepare your heart for happiness,
you must make sure there’s room.

Thought provoking! Actually if are allowed to frame it according to our taste…would we able to do it? Do we actually know what we want from life?
Too good π

Good question, I don’t think we do, but the knowing presence inside of us all knows where we are going maybe?

Yes I loved it and you gave me some homework to do! I need to think to shape my coming days too π

Great, ha ha I didn’t intend to set homework but it’s good for us to think about our direction. Pleased you liked it π

The future is an interesting concept, but quite scary when we think about it. Most times I feel we have the power to decide what we want to be, and most times too, I feel it may not be what we painted it to be. Great post.

Good point, I don’t think I have ever reached anywhere having known before I was going that way. But that said I have set off in the wrong direction many times only to be surprised at where I end up π I don’t think the sub conscious has a clue really, as too preoccupied with itself. However on a deeper level I think we might know, even as you say if it’s not the picture we painted.

I think as I get older I’m afraid to see what the future brings. I’ve been thinking about that a lot recently, with family members dying and others with terminal illness. I worry about it and because of this I make the most of the present. Thought provoking. Good poem π

I get that, good point too. I suppose it is good in times of uncertainty, or during those difficult periods to look for the brightness up ahead. Sometimes when life feels hopeless it might be good to look for some hope. You make a very good argument though π Pleased you liked it π

I agree. We’ve been booking lots of little mini break and events and had little things to look forward to and enjoy most months, thanks π

I think I’m happy blundering along. I’ve had a great deal of dejavue, haha, and it is an interesting phenomenon to me, but speaks loudly and clearly. Enjoys this very much.
