From the Heart
However hard we try there is light and shade in each of us, areas that are more in the shadows and in need of uncovering. These shadows are our purpose, these are the areas we need to be focusing on and bringing into the light.

The world that we emerge into is already here, it continues after we leave. We can add beauty and make a difference on our way through, but we are only ever visiting.

However we choose to look at life, it happens. We can look away and pretend it’s not really happening, maybe busy ourselves with the mundane or we can be open to everything it has to offer and bask in the brightness of each and every moment.

To wonder at the symmetry of nature is to find harmony outside of ourselves. What can we learn from the visual patterns we find in the natural world around us, the waves, circles and spirals. Could it be that it all stems from a centre point, the heart centre. Is nature subtly showing us that the heart is where it all begins, being the central place from which everything flows?

Love is an abstract concept,
it’s without a physical form.
Crazy when you think of it,
as love can keep you so warm.
If love had a body or shape,
I’d imagine it to be immense.
But as love is all around us,
that wouldn’t make any sense.

Beauty’s an abstract concept,
but that is just weird to me.
As I thought such a concept,
was something you didn’t see.
But I’ll take it if it’s beautiful,
as beauty I like around me.
I think it’s more than a concept,
it’s something I constantly see.

The awakened one, resides in the same body, functions from the same body and uses the same mind. However there is something different about them, the energy, the nuance of thoughts and the brightness of being. We awaken from wherever we are, we continue to live every day and life unfolds as it should, but we have woken and experience the world through awakened eyes.

I’m slightly nervous about the future,
some things are going to change.
I don’t know where I’m going yet,
with still so much I need to arrange.
It’s like walking along a pathway,
lit by candles that flicker and dim.
I’m on the precipice of my destiny,
don’t know where or how to begin.
I’m a little nervous about leaving,
the breaking down of what I know.
Then going out into the future now,
and not sure of where I should go.
You see, my heart is beating faintly,
then it misses the odd beat or two.
The world is out there waiting now,
but I’m not really sure what to do.
People tell me that they want me near,
but just to go is yet another chance.
I’m going to have to forget I’m nervous,
after all this is just another dance.
