I love this old pier, my favourite place in town. I visit in all my moods and it shows me the same. The beautiful calm of a balmy summer day, the ferociousness of a winter storm, day and night this place speaks to me. It’s gradually falling into the sea, each year another section has disappeared. Used now only by seagulls and starlings the old girl is fading. She’s resilient though, two fires and multiple storms and she’s still standing.

Beautiful entry for resilient – still a beautiful pier, even as a skeleton 🙂

Great! There are lovely little bars and coffee shops overlooking the pier, we can sort the world out with a wonderful view. Best hurry though, I’m leaving in a few months 🙂

It’s still the same old town, anything goes and full of weird and wonderful people 🙂 I’m not so sure about the tower, but I’m told it’s a fab view of the city.
