They are fascinating, I like to watch them at work, but from a distance. This time of year they build their webs across pathways and I find if I don’t look where I’m going I constantly walk into them! The patterns of their webs are certainly interesting.
Actually I have been to old abandoned buildings over century old ones, where you I have seen how they take over the space. It just adds some extra effect in that eerie environment. Lucky to have survived the creaky stairs and weak roofs. 🙂 Have you seen how early morning light shines off the spider webs? The gossamer fabric.
Spooky they are, but somehow those places which are not frequented much hold a deep mystery. I feel as if they are trying to narrate an untold story. (now I made the visits little poetic) 😀
Yes I love visiting old buildings, churches, houses etc. I like to think of all the people who have walked there before and their stories. Some places carry so much energy, especially places of worship I think. I always think of them as cold and damp in Europe and not the kind of places spiders like to frequent. Old buildings demand poetry 😉
Rightly said, they do have some energy which I feel wants to communicate. Touching the stone walls can be sometimes very different and inexplicable. The cold and quiet places do intrigue the mind.
Yes lots of energies or are they memories of the past, interesting. I like to touch the walls or sit in the quiet and see what it tells me. Funny today I was going to visit a manor house in the park, it is supposed to be haunted, so I thought it might be fun. The photo is from the garden’s of the house, but unfortunately it is closed this month so a trip next year maybe 🙂
We call it haunted, but there must be some explanations of the visions and experiences, which we term ‘paranormal’. I guess there are many such places which we are not even aware of and still waiting to be discovered. So, do let us know of your visit/trip of the manor house. 🙂
Yes, I don’t think I go along with the term haunted either, but do think there are spirits that visit, energies that remain but I suppose we won’t know in what form on this side of life 😉 I have stayed in an old farm house in Spain, where there were unexplainable goings on, footsteps and knocks on the door in the middle of the night, I might write about it, see what people think. I will certainly take some photos and write about the manor house if it’s interesting when I go!
We fail to rationalise so many terms. Anything we do not comprehend or are confused by their existence and even cannot prove a link to our own standard of thinking, we either dismiss it or try to create an aura of deliberate confusion by poor definitions.
It would be great if you could share the Spain farmhouse experience. Sure, would be an interesting read.
Yes, I’ll have a think, I have a few strange stories 🙂 I believe in the continuation of life / the spirit but also think some things are meant to remain mysteries, we are not supposed to know for certain but I love to think about it. I don’t understand people who just push away anything that does not make sense, can’t be proved. The paranormal, like spiders fascinates me.
We are not supposed to know and we will never know probably, or will be known only by highly conscious and responsible few. Our idea of Metaphysical world and lot of philosophies of ours are still evolving and only time will tell where we are heading and how much philosophy will unravel and have an impact at a conscious level.
Progress is being made much faster in all walks of life, things that once seemed ridiculous are now the norm so who knows. I think we will find out when we are worthy of finding out or permitted / shown. We just think we are in charge, at the right time all will be revealed 😉
Cosmic consciousness will reveal the only as much we are supposed to know. I agree with you we are making progress and let’s see where we are heading. 🙂
Take your spidies and run! lol I’m actually not afraid of them, I certainly don’t like them but our season is passed, they are already in if they were attempting to do so. lol
I was bitten by (they think a black widow) when I was a baby. I remember trying to see my parents and the swelling went from the top of my head and covered most of both eyes and half my cheek. So I have no love of spiders but most don’t worry me.
I believe so. I see a lot of spiders in many strange places when I’m moving around the city.

Yes it’s the time of year for them, well in the UK anyway, is that where you are? Not long until they move indoors 😉

I live in Canada. I’m originally from Nova Scotia; this is my kingdom. Yes, once they’re indoors there will be an abundance of rain.

After the rain they can often be found sitting in the bath!

I never knew that. Thanks for informing me.

Spiders are intriguing, and their web making skills are fascinating. They surely know symmetry. 😀

Yes, it’s quite beautiful, but your visits sound very spooky, I’m not sure I’m that brave, as I say, they are fascinating but from a distance 😉

I’m not that bothered unless they crawl across me or fall on my head 😉
